DR MARTIN SCHLEGEL has more than 20 years international experience in the sports and recreation, construction and plastics specialty chemicals industry across product development, process engineering and research and development commercialisation.

As Principal of Chemneera, Dr Schlegel spends his time on novel concepts that stretch the boundaries of current thinking and practice in the USA, Europe and Australia. He engages internationally with startups, small-to-medium enterprises (SME) and subsidiaries of multinational corporations (MNC) to identify growth and export opportunities, develop business strategy by way of digital transformation, and commercialize research and development through open innovation.

Dr Schlegel has led the manufacture, supply and installation of field hockey pitches for the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and other major events like World Cup, Youth Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games globally.

Dr Schlegel is Director of multiple companies, is a casual lecturer on sports management, entrepreneurship and innovation and is President of a cross-border student exchange scholarships program.
